In January 2007 Amlak, the largest publicly listed Islamic finance company and pioneer in home finance in the UAE, announced its international expansion schedule, with the launch of its first international office in Cairo. The company will operate under the name Amlak Finance & Real Estate Investment as per the Commercial Register in Egypt. With these expansion plans, Amlak becomes the first UAE Islamic home finance house with an international branch.
