Manor House Schools has been a leader in education since the 1940’s. We currently provide both National and International certificates (British and American) and are recognized for our excellence in education while instilling the cultural values of Egypt.

In 1947 Manor House Schools opened its first school building in Zamalek, Cairo under the ownership of Mr.and Mrs. Bullen. In 1956 the school opened a new branch in Mohandeseen, Cairo which incorporated kindergarten through Grade 12 . After this, during President Gamal Abd El Nasser’s time in power, the school was nationalized and the name was changed to Port Said School .
In 1960 the owners of the original Manor House Schools left Egypt and moved to Greece, opening a school there, and later in The Lebanon as well.

The American School of Alexandria offers the American curriculum for grades PreSchool through Grade 12. The American School of Alexandria is accredited by the Egyptian Ministry of Education as a coeducational, university preparatory school which adheres to the American curriculum and grants American High School Diploma. Furthermore, the American School of Alexandria is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges (USA), by C.I.T.A., and by CCAPA.

In architecture and design, the school is modern and purpose built. The American curriculum stresses critical thinking, analysis, and the development of the whole individual. The curriculum does not focus on rote memorization, nor is it test driven.

Students who earn our American High School Diploma may attend Egyptian, European, Canadian, American, etc. colleges and universities. ASA's American High School Diploma is given preferential treatment by Egypt's most selective universities.

The American School of Alexandria is the only school of its kind to be actually located in the city of Alexandria.

In quest for perfection, we are all here to bring up a new generation equipped with efficient and effective tools, to face the challenge of an ever-changing world life and unpredictable future. Everyone endeavors to create constancy of purpose towards improvement of the student and the service provided.

We all aspire to develop outstanding students who have discipline, motivation and self-direction to reach their fullest potential.

Means to achieve our goals reside in providing training for students, teachers and administrators, creating a democratic environment and teamwork spirit, and above all an open-door policy, as well as a positive caring atmosphere across the entire school.
