Egypt today stands at the crossroads, and faces a real historical challenge: Will it be the continuation of the present sick and sickening regime with all its attendant horrors, stagnancy, corruption, suppression and dictatorship, or will the Egyptian people rise to the occasion and respond to the political challenges facing them both from within and from outside? To rescue their country from this unbearable and ghastly situation, which has become a real threat to its security posing serious challenges both internally and internationally: a threat to the identity of the country and Egyptian people.
Founded in 1988, the Middle East Children's Alliance is a registered nonprofit organization working for the rights and the well being of children in the Middle East. MECA sends shipments of aid to Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon, and supports projects that make life better for the children. We educate North Americans about children in the region and the brutal impact of US foreign policy on their lives. MECA welcomes the support of all people who care about children and their future.
